DIY Project - Wallet Invitations

Wallets are a beautiful way to send out a wedding invitation, party invitation or even as an unusual format for your Christmas or greetings cards.

We currently supply these in hammer ivory and hammer white to match with our other stationery ranges. These two classic colours make an ideal canvas for wedding stationery and can be teamed with many other colours for a range of looks and styles.

Below is an example of how they can be used - of course, they can be adapted to suit your own needs and your own ideas.

To assemble

1 - Fold the wallet into shape along the score lines.

2 - Using high tack glue, stick the tabs to the inside of the wallet, starting with the smaller, bottom tab first.

3 - Stick the longer tab and smooth the wallet flat. Hold in position until glue is set.

4 - cut a credit card sized piece of card with edging scissors (or normal scissors) and wrap in your chosen ribbon. Secure on the reverse with glue or tape.

5 - Affix to the front of the wallet as shown with glue or sticky pads for a raised 3D effect.

6 - Peel off the self adhesive word 'Invitation' and cut round it with edging scissors (or normal scissors)

7 - Affix to the front of the wallet as shown with glue or sticky pads for a raised 3D effect.

8 - Take 3 of the white ribbon roses and remove the green 'leaves' by pulling them away from the roses and sliding them down the stems.

9 - Add the pearl and silver flowers and finish with the hot pink bow.

10 - Fix the flower spray to the front of the panel as shown.
A glue gun or super glue gel is ideal for this.
11 - Print your insert text in a toning colour or on toning paper or thin card to make an overlay and cut out to around 80mm x 192mm. We've used the edging scissors to tie in with the front and sprayed the paper with a fine silver sparkle mist.

12 - Finally, punch a hole through the card insert (supplied with your wallet blank) and the paper overlay. Use the same ribbon as on the front to thread through the hole so that the insert can easily be removed from the wallet.
